Welcome to Learning Languages Through Video Games, or LLTVG for short, where we host heavily annotated and translated script dumps and transcripts of video games! We don't have very much right now, but you're always free to add new games or expand upon what we have...

Our current focus tends to be on classics from the 8-bit and 16-bit eras, but this is likely to change as more games are added.

Activity is a little low right now, but don't let that discourage you. Hey, we can't get bigger without your help, right? :)

Check out the forum! You can also talk to us on IRC at #lltvg on freenode.net.

Recommendations

If you're looking for something to work on, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is one of our biggest projects. We recommend working on this rather than starting your own project unless your project is reasonably small, but we won't stop you from working on any game you want.

Also check out our to-do list with pages that have items marked TODO on them if you want to fix some of our many small errors or incomplete details.

Finished games

These translations are, to the best of our knowledge, 100% complete. (This is not to say that there is no room for improvement!) In this section and others, when the languages are not mentioned, assume the translation is from Japanese to English.

Latest additions are in bold.

Almost finished games

WIP games

Games whose translations still have a ways to go.

Games we've just started

These games have either not formally been started yet or have barely been started.

Scripts only

These games haven't had the actual translations started at all. In some cases the transcript or script dump may not be complete either.

Wish list

These are games we're not starting yet, but would like to add eventually...
